About AppealCheck: what it does and how it works
AppealCheck reads a health insurance denial letter or Explanation of Benefits on the patient's own phone, finds the denial reason and the usual appeal deadline, lists what to send, and prepares an appeal letter and a phone script.
Who it is for
People in the United States whose health insurance denied a claim, through an employer plan, a marketplace plan, Medicare or Medicare Advantage.
How it works
- Appeal deadlines and rights come from HealthCare.gov, Medicare.gov and federal regulations (29 CFR 2560.503-1, 45 CFR 147.138).
- Denial codes are explained in plain words written by us.
- The letter is read in the browser with open-source text recognition. Nothing is uploaded.
Price
Checking is free. The ready-to-send letter and the phone script cost $49, paid once, with a 30-day money-back guarantee. There is no subscription.
